Me and cooltwig have just created a Gamers Talk forum (http://gamerstalk.sitefrost.com/forum). It's been up since yesterday morning (26th August). I need some help and/or tips, can anyone tell me what could be improved and how to attract more traffic without the cost?
- You should probably get a theme that matches your banner a bit better, plus is more pleasing to the eye (I'm finding the text to be a bit of a strain at the moment). A nice black-green theme would be nice.
- You should really fill up those empty forums.
- Get some forum descriptions on the index. Not only do they help clarify what the sections are about, but they also separate the sections, making it easier on the eyes.
I feel that's the most important thing to do right now. People are very reluctant to join an empty and inactive forum. Hence, even if you do get visitors, quite a low proportion of them will join the forum. Try doing some post exchanges etc to make it active.
