Tips for new website promotion

Hi,
I recently launched my own classified website going by the name Sellbuddy
I have tried all the tips and tricks mentioned about how to increase website traffic etc. But its been 3 weeks since the launch, I don't seem to draw sufficient traffic to my website. SO please help me out here. Here are the details of my website :

First things:

Get yourself an SSL certificate. Doesn't need to be anything fancy. Also, do yourself a favor and buy a more memorable domain (sellbuddy.net). if you buy your domain from Namecheap, you can get your first year of the SSL certificate for just $1.99.

I personally wouldn't want to post anything on your site until those 2 requirements have been fulfilled.

Well thanks for your reply. A .net domain is good option. The reason for opting with a .us domain was that I wanted my website to be domain specific in the US market. But i guess a .net would be more suitable.

I have used the following methods for promotion :

1 - Directory submissions
2 - Search engine submissions
3 - Guest posting
4 - A few backlinking.

I tried email marketting, but as of yet I don't have a substantial amount of email lists and I don't wanna buy a paid one and send spam ! .

So please give me some tips

Don't forget an SSL certificate. It's super important. If you don't know how to install it, I can give you some help with it.
