When using Canva, you might need to do things to your text to make it stand out, especially if your background has the same value. OR you might want elements to feel separated.
I showed on my Future Fuel video how to use the black pancake shape I found by searching Blur in Elements. Make sure it's behind the text and if it's too dark, you can change the transparency. You can also use a white blur depending on what your elements are.
Another way is to use the Effects and add a shadow, but then change the shadow color to a black or a grey value and then slide BLUR until it looks good without being muddy looking.
