TomTom Go 520 Review:

Tom Tom's are thoroughly impressive. The menus are clean, simple and easy to navigate. The main view is very impressive and shows all kind of useful information clearly that can be taken in with just a quick glance.

I don't have one personally, although I've been in cars that have used them before. Definitely recommended, and you won't have any regrets.

😕 You seriously call yours doris? We call ours doris too

We have the Tom Tom europe, it's only ever let us down where it's expected too, IE in the middle of no where on things that barely get away with being called roads. It's on it's way out at the moment though, my dog tripped over the sat nav charger wire and sent it flying, and now it's very awkward to charge.

We have a Tom Tom and we are happy about it. My dad uses it a lot when he is outdoors.

Yeah seriously I do and I have started swearing at her recently

Thanks for the comments guys - I know Tom Tom's are the best - anybody actually used voice activated ??

My dad always turns it off. Our voice is in Dutch and it is an annoying voice from the Netherlands. He only turns sound on when he is stuck somewhere.

When I say voice activated I dont mean the voice of the tom tom I mean saying the address rather than tapping it in ........... nah George Clooney doesn't do it for me ..........

Christian Bale for me *faints*

Oh wow I think I am convinced now - whilst driving - if you get a text the voice asks if you want the text read out - after it reads it to you it asks you if you want to ring them back - Wow!!

Wonder if it will get out and fill up the petol for me - I hate doing that and so few service stations around lol

Cant afford anything like that. I usually print directions from google maps or mapquest. Then nearly wreck my car when Im read the paper to see what exit to take or where I have to turn next.

The TomTom Go 520 is ordered and winging its way to me in the next 48 hours :cheer:

Going to look for what voices I can have today

Its arrived - its fabulous - has 4 default voices 2 female and 2 male - the way it reads a text to you when driving is fantastic!

Not found any downsides yet - still testing all its features but its a pretty amazing piece of kit :great:

Tom Tom's are pretty awesome Sat Nav's, but I have a Navman, and I must say it is awesome as well.

We downloaded this Polish voice for a while. It was pretty much a Polish prostitute moaning us directions. It was irritating as hell.
