What time of day do you consider to be "too early" to have an alcoholic drink?

I never drink during the day because it ruins me for the rest of the day even if I only have one. If I do drink it'll be after an evening meal so 7.00-7.30pm at the earliest.

I have a little internal dialogue which goes, "it's five o'clock somewhere".

I don't drink, but I would say anything earlier than 4 PM is too early to drink. I knew people who would start drinking super early and then by the afternoon they're drunk...

Never too early for a drink. xD But I personally usually don't do it until the afternoon, evening, or late at night. I'm not super into drinking alcohol, so I don't really do it too often. Usually just for special occasions or holidays, where I'll either get a drink at the restaurant I'm at or buy a bottle or two of liquor to make drinks at home.

It depends on the day. If I've got no where to be, I'm not opposed to cracking open a beer early in the day.

I'm really anti alcohol. I think every living person would thrive without it, but that's just me.

I second this! I had a day off today, so I cracked open some ice cold brew at 2pm, enjoying it in the sun.

I don't know why it really matters or what day matters. For instance, in some places, alcohol is banned early in the morning and maybe on Sunday, but I don't see why. Well, everyone isn't a Baptist, for instance.

Anyway, the main concern with alcohol is drinking and driving, parenting while under the influence, stuff like that.

I don't think it's necessarily bad to have a glass of wine or two or a couple of beers around your kids. It might even contribute to the kids seeing that a healthy drinking pattern is possible, that you don't have to get wasted in order to enjoy alcohol. Being visibly intoxicated in front of your kids, on the other hand, is a hard no.
