Will you ever grow out of posting on forums? Do you think people grow out of it as we get older? Will you ever stop posting on forums? Sometimes I like to take long breaks from posting on forums but I always end up going back. I don't think I'll ever stop posting for good, just taking breaks sometimes.

Sadly, there are a lot of people that do grow out of foruming as they get older. They see it as just a thing of their younger years and move on. I've been foruming for over 10 years now, and have no intentions of stopping at any point soon.

I agree with The Governor. I think some people get into posting on forums when they are young and grow out of it as they age.

However, if the forum niche` is something that still interests them when they are older than they may stay with that particular forum. I think part of why they get out of "foruming" is because the forum niche` is not something that interests them anymore.

I don't see a difference between being too old for forums or being too old for any other social outlet on the internet. They all do the same thing at their core which is to talk and interact with other people about various subjects, whether those people are strangers or personal friends.

I don't intend to stop going to forums any time soon. I would much rather discuss topics on a forum, than on a site like Facebook where most comments are just stupid stuff like meme images and "Like my post" or starting childish arguments, rather than trying to have a decent discussion.

When I saw this topic title I was thinking 'Are you spamming?'.

Well, if you ask 'Too young for forums' it will be better. Well, I think that the older generation posts more than the younger generation.

I don't think I'll ever be "too old" for forums, after all, what they are is a way to communicate with a large group of people and discuss various topics. I don't see that ever getting old. I love it. I love every idea about it. If I could spend the rest of my adult-life writing online for a living and meeting people from all over the world. Well, that sounds like a happy life to me.

I think there would be more old and young people who decide to run and join forums because a lot of people value their privacy, and don't want to post as much on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social networks where social sites track their users' browsing activities, use tracking cookies and scripts, and social networks are using users' posts to make a lot of money without compensating their users.

Plus, the internet marketing, SEO, and make money online niche is becoming popular with more old people because of the poor offline economy making it harder to find offline jobs like retail, cashier, or bar tender.

A lot of people who work online use Warrior Forums, and Digital points Forum to find online work.

I've been on a lot of forums with a older crowd. Actually forums will probably see a lot of older users in coming years because the younger generations will be moving on to the next internet fad and the rest of us will try to hang on to this ancient communication device called a message board for as long as we can. 😛

I think as the young becomes older, they would use forums more because forums are still one of the best type of websites for learning about a specific topic like computers, smartphones(Android, iOS, and Windows Phone), cooking, and general chat topics like home repair, and financial aid for college.

There are already a lot of college forums for adults who go to college, and university.

No. I've been foruming for 8 years so far. And my passion for them is stronger than ever! xD

as long as I still have interest in conversing with others on topics that I enjoy, I will not grow out of them. I personally think that will not happen until a very very long time. I love posting my opinions on many subjects and meeting amazing people along the way. I could never take a break either - but if there was a need to, I would try - but I would end up coming back shortly. xD

I've been in the forum community for years and I have no intentions of quitting any time soon. I see a lot of older people like me still active on them and I've seen many of them go as well. It's good to see younger people getting involved with forums. That's what keeps the forum community alive and well. Both younger and older forum users are a good thing in my opinion.

I love forums and have been using forums for about 6 or 7 years now. I have no intentions of stopping anytime soon. I can't picture myself "outgrowing" forums, heck I still have yet to "outgrow" my obsession with Sonic and Teen Titans. xD

I have no intention of ever quitting forums, regardless of how much I get older. I just prefer them to those social networks and what not, they're just better sites in general.

Indeed. I agree. 🙂
