What do you think about forums who focus their niche on a specific person, place, or movie? Do you think they are too specific, or they are just fine in what they're doing?

I think it will require more effort to get the attention to the right people, but I think it definitely can be done with success.

Just think about all the variety of Role-Playing forums. I have seen tons based around Harry Potter. there are plenty based around Star Wars, and not so many based on Star Trek.

So, so long as there is an audience for it, you have the ability to get members.

Yeah, but I think that once you get into "Harry Potter Seventh Movie RPG" specification-range, you get into too specific.
