Site Name: - Top Community - Admin forum
Site URL: - www.top-community.com
Description: - Top Community is a very new and active community for blog and forum admins. It is run by an experienced forum manager and blogger, with over 10 years of experience. I am also a web designer and have created many forum/blog themes for my clients and the network. Top Community was created to provide top quality information and support to all other admins, whether they run a forum or a blog. We have interesting topics and a lot of useful things for you to read. The forum is still new, but amazingly active.
Your Name on the Board: Dojo

Thank you for your kind words. Here are few articles that I think will help other forum admins:

How many administrators should a forum have?
The pros and cons for starting a forum in a specialized niche
Forum admin: How to deal with SPAM?
XenForo: how to add post count based user titles through the trophy system
This is why your forum WILL FAIL
Forum admin: create threads that make people respond to
Should you start a webmaster, gaming, entertainment forum?
vBulletin Theme: Remove / edit outer shadow

We're adding new articles on a regular basis. Most topics there (aside for the welcome area and the marketplace) are engaging and USEFUL to all forum/blog admins. We're not posting chatter, we're not playing forum games. We're seriously discussing all aspects of forum admining so you do have what to learn and where to ask some questions.

2 weeks since we started and we're doing our best to provide all forum/blog admins excellent information and a friendly place to share it.

If you need paid posting services, here is an article about how to make the most of it. How to find the best editors, fire the ones that don't provide good content and plan your entire paid posting program.

How to make the most of paid posting services

Should serve as a guideline for the members here who also provide paid posting services.

Top-Community is a GREAT forum that has taught me a lot about things I hadn't know or thought of previously. There are great articles and everyone there is so friendly, supportive and knowledgeable.

Luna, thank you for your kind words. You are one of our best members and it's a real pleasure having you with us.

Farside, HostGator seems to have some hiccups. Am tracking the site with a site uptime system, so that I can know when it's not working properly and have a 'talk' with the provider 😀

On a side note: we have added a 'cash' system and I have updated each of my members account. From now on you can buy advertising in the forums and we'll get many other perks. You can also trade cash, if you will and get people do 'services' for you. Now being active in the community can bring you even more than access to some quality content.

We're doing amazingly well for a new community and I hope we'll end our first month on a high note. More articles to come and features for all blog and forum admins.

First month stats: over 3.5K visits, 60K page views, over 2K messages. Excellent content provided by our members. Thank you all so much 🙂

We have added a new 'feature' for our members. All posts/threads get them points (3 for a new thread, 2 for a post). They can buy advertising in the forums and NOW REAL domain names and cpanel hosting. If you cannot afford a domain name or a hosting plan for your blog/forum (or just want to try your hand for free) your activity points can 'buy' you a domain name and a hosting plan.

Both are secured via namecheap and hostgator, IN YOUR NAME. You can use them for an entire year (or, after 12 months, pay more 'points' and re-new).

I think this will come to aid many new webmasters who are not yet ready to invest in their site. Invest a little time in our community and you're getting the features you need.

A new article MOST forum admins should read, since we need to learn how to better budget for our forums and not waste money. I was able to in the past to get some successful forums off the ground with an investment of $10 (the domain name), just as I was able to get them with a small budget. Having thousands of bucks to spend on your forums WILL NOT mean you're gonna be successful, if you're squandering the money and have absolutely no planning done.

Forum budget: how to make the most of the money you have

This article will detail what investments are important for your forums and where you can save money.
