Here's a recently released list of The Top Scary Movie Franchises Of All Time. The list is 15 movies long. I disagree with the "Leprechaun" franchise making the list however. Some of the placements are off as well. For example. The "Texas Chainsaw" franchise is a bit high on the list for my tastes. What do you guys think of the list? Do you Agree? What would be your top 15 Scary Movie Franchises list? Mine would go like this....

From weakest, down to strongest

1.Gremlins
2.Puppet Master
3.Poltergeist
4.Jeepers Creepers
5.Hellraiser
6.Romero's "Dead" Movies
7.Texas Chainsaw Massacre
8.The Evil Dead
9.I Know What You Did Last Summer
10.Scream
11.Phantasm
12.Child's Play
13.Friday The 13th
14.A Nightmare On Elm Street
15.Halloween

I don't really watch alot of horror movie franchises, therefore I can't make a list. But I must say that 'The Ring' scared the living crap out of me when I was young. :/

THE RING remake or original? The remake was from 2001. The original Asian horror movie it was based on RINGU, was made in the 90's.

It's difficult to say for certain, there isn't many horror-film franchises that have consistently kept their quality as the franchise progressed.

I love Freddy Krueger, but aside from the first one, three, New Nightmares, and Freddy vs. Jason, his films aren't exactly anything too wholesome. Other-wise, Halloween does have some good ones, the first, four, five, six, and the first remake were enjoyable.

As far as the Top Scary Movie in-terms of box-office gross, that belongs to Saw, but that will soon be taken away by Paranormal Activity.

The Halloween remake grew on me but the sequel to the Remake H2. Was just, woeful in my opinion. They might be releasing a new SAW movie next Spring so that box-office gross battle between Saw and Paranormal Activity is still yet to be decided.
