What are some of the top important things to remember when starting a blog?

Every time I start a new blog, I have a list of objectives.

1. Have articles created before launching the blog. Schedule them to post daily/weekly/monthly
   1. It is important to be consistent
2. Get the basic pages up
   1. Use copywriting on each page to catch the attention of the reader
   2. Use the AIDA copywriting formula
3. Get a mailing list created and link it to the blog
   1. Build your mailing list from the get-go
4. Create social pages for your blog
   1. Connect to the social pages to share posts when they publish
5. Start researching topics using various means
   1. Uber Suggest for keyword research or SEMRush
   2. Keywords Everywhere, Google Trends, Google Adsense Keyword Planner, Google Web Console
   3. Google Search, YouTube Search, People also ask on Google Results Pages
6. Install Yoast SEO (free) and conduct basic SEO practices
   1. Continue to research SEO and improve
7. Create the best content you can
   1. Make it better than those you're competing with
   2. Make How-To posts
   3. Make numbered list posts
8. Maintain consistency

Okay, that sounds like ALL the things to remember instead of the top thing! It's a wonderful list though, and it makes me realize I don't have enough time to cover all that and do all the other things I do throughout my day.

Okay, that sounds like ALL the things to remember instead of the top thing! It's a wonderful list though, and it makes me realize I don't have enough time to cover all that and do all the other things I do throughout my day.

Doing all that enough will make it habitual enough that you just go with the flow.
Consistency is a great tool for turning things into a habit 🙂

Choose a search-friendly domain name. This is most important. Then focus on building SEO content, this is the second most important rule. If you can't derive traffic from search engine, your blog is doomed.
