What tools do you let users use in regards to topics and posts they make? Do they have the ability to lock / unlock them, delete them or even share them?

What tools do your users have acsess to?

As an member they all should get very very basic tools. That's edit, create and post. All my members don't have the option to lock/delete.. If so then it's not going to be good.

As an staff member yeah they do have the tools

Members on my forum get the basic tools as well, plus the ability email specific posts/threads and share them to social media sites using a ShareThis widget. They are able to request a topic to be locked, archived, etc but that is up to the discretion of the staff members.

I think the standard member and moderator permissions pack that comes with default installation is more than enough for any boards unless you have some special needs.
