TouchBB Question

Not exactly a problem as such but something seems strange to me about my new TouchBB application on my iPod Touch. 😉

I used to have TouchBB lite until I installed the paid version and deleted the free verision. With the free version, after every post it said 'Posted with TouchBB on my iPod Touch' with a link to TouchBB in it. With the paid version, it doesn't show this. This can be a slight problem because other users won't know if I'm posting from my desktop or my iPod.

I see but why does it show up on the free version and not the paid version?

Because free means free... just like anything that's free, there has to be some kind of copyright somewhere.

True but I'm sure another user here has the paid version and the touchbb message shows up in his posts. 😉

It does only get added on the free version as the aim is that they get some free promotion and it does encourage users to upgrade to the paid version in order to get rid of it.

I find touchbb to be more trouble then its worth. It is full of issues and doesn't work well especially on this site.

FP on TouchBB is fine for me though. 😀

There are some problems though. You don't earn FP cash for posts when you use TouchBB and also if you reply to a topic you created then your post gets added to the Moderation queue and gets treated as a global announcement. Also it strips the topic title from the post. If a user gives you rep for it, it will show blank where it says what topic/post you got rep for.

I see. Well I only use it for a few posts so it isn't too bad. 😀
