Recently i get traffic from 18+ websites and it affects my forum very badly. Kindly help me in fixing the issue I have used Google Disavow to scrap these links. But how to avoid these stupid links in the future?

@Bryn What better spam protection can i do? Now i understand why my website is doing very poorly in getting indexed

Well, I see you're using XenForo so I guess there's plug-ins/customisations to add extra security. Also, I really doubt your site is "poorly indexed". Maybe it's just a stroke of bad luck.

Is it from multiple sites? Just block that site from coming in.

@Bryn thanks for the thought i will see what i can do with Xenforo to add extra security

@Jerlene yes is it from multiple sites (xxx.sexyblog, xxx.xxxblog) I have used the disavow, don't know how to block all the domains with particular extensions like block all xxx.sexyblog extensions

I don't mind them as long as they come to an site and keep to the site rules, Yet again how many members here that go to an porn site themselves 😵

I just get traffic hits, but luckily no registration from these sites 😀

Yeah, this. But that's for XF1, though. XF2 has security right in the background, so my suggestion is to upgrade. upgrade. upgrade.

Aside from that, I'd put in my time with banning each spam account, look through their account for IP's, check if that's flagged as a spam source, or a proxy server, or coming from a known spammer country (india is a spammer country, by the way.) If that "user" spammed, put a discourage, IP Ban, IP discourage, and you'll never have to deal with that user again. Keep doing this to all your spammers until you don't see one iota of spam.

After i disavowed the links, traffic has gone down drastically and my forum has very less visits daily 😀

I don't think traffic from any source is bad unless they start posting content against forum's rules. As you can yourself see that disavowing them resulted in decrease in traffic.

SEO is so tough these days many companies aren't bothering with it, so why worry about the bad links? But, yeah, if focusing on SEO, then links to porn could be really bad.
