What are your thoughts and views on Transgender?

It's their life. If they feel like they were born in the wrong body then so be it.

If they choose to be a different gender that is fine since it is their body and life.

None of my business. 🙂

Edit: I may have come across as a bit snippy with my answer which was not my intention. It's just that when it comes to people's sexual orientation, I have no opinion and I consider it (see above) 🙂

I'm happy with being the gender I was born with, so I'll never understand wanting to be the other gender, but hey. That's just me.

I don't mind people changing their gender as long as I'm not paying for it and they don't feel the need to have parades and rallys proclaiming their difference from the majority of other people.

Well "찬양 김일성" depending on the health care system where ever you are, if you have universal health care it is possible that some day your tax dollar's may end up paying for this process for individuals. I have no problem with that.

As far as the Gay Pride Parade here in Toronto, I can't say I'm 100% in favour of it, but not because it's for gay people but just in general I don't believe that we need parades for a sexual preference. However, I do understand why these parades are necessary in order to show the many homophobic people out there that gay's are just people too.

I love gay pride parades, they're a great way to troll homophobes on the internet through pictures. But nah I don't really care about them, haven't seen any since I moved though.

Oh and trannys, dont really care much either. I could never do that to my balls but everyone is different. RPGCodex forums have a lot of transgender dudes/dudettes and yeah they're pretty normal folk most of the time, so I got no problems with it.

I do not have universal health care. The reason why I do not support the public funding (or my funding, I don't know/think my health care would cover it) of the procedure, is because there is essentially no 100% way to show that somebody was born "the wrong gender." Similar to people who want to get an arm/leg amputated because they feel like it doesn't belong to them or is parasitic. I feel like those individuals should pay for that procedure as well.

I really feel for those that seem to be born into the wrong body, some people you can just instantly tell that they were meant to be the opposite sex, I know a girl/boy who lives his/her life as a male and has done for years now, you wouldn't have a clue that he/she was ever a female and he/she has not had any surgery, I don't even think that he/she has had testosterone injections either, he/she was always male looking even as a 12 year old.......

NOTE: I only use the double descriptive to appease everyone, to me the girl is a male and I would refer to him as a he 😉

One of my best friends is transgender and she is thourighly kind hearted person. I also no she would not advise anyone to do the same unless they where absolutly sure.

In her case she had a mental breakdown and found a doctor that was willing to do the operation without asking too many questions. The doctor is the one at fault they should be making sure that is what the person wants and not the symptom of a mental health problem. As when that problem is stabilised for the rest of their life they may live in regret. My particular friend states she has no gender always dresses neutrally now and does not give a monkeys whether called he or she. This I have a great deal of respect for as it must be very hard!

My guess is HE is your only "in" to that world? JSYK, it's rude to refer to a transgendered as "him/her". You know he is living his life as a male so just say "he" and "him".

MissTake said he has had no surgery done ever. The fact of that matter is they're still legally a female then, correct? I don't sense any disrespect in that.

What if the kid in question couldn't help it but wanted to be female? Wouldn't calling him/her a he be rude? MissTake is merely trying to avoid offending any one person.

Anyways, I don't believe in the whole switching genders thing. It's just wrong, imo. But, that's just me being old fashioned.

He is choosing to live as a male. That's what a transgendered is.

Moving on...

However this person is still female and does not have a "thing." One can be female and live as a male.

(EDIT: Seeing as I might get a PM for using the biologically correct term for the male sex organ, I have changed it to "thing" to avoid offending our younger readers. :/ )

I thought penis was blocked by the word filter anyhow, or at least it was.

So you're saying that people who dress in drag are also females when they clearly aren't?
