Nope, I haven't yet. But, from the few YouTube videos it looks better then previous versions.

Could save a CD/DVD and use a USB instead 🙂.

I just use CD-RW erasable CDs which I can uses over and over again, so it is no big deal I can erase them and use them again.

But, I will get a empty 1GB flash drive to load Ubuntu onto since all my Flash drives are full.

I agree the narrator said Meh too much, and swore by saying F-ing Cr*p a little bit during the narration.

I had to use a CD since I have one working USB port and I needed it for the keyboard.

One USB port? Oh god, I would die. I use four on a netbook. 😛

On topic:
I might give it a try in a Virtual Machine, if I am not too busy.

Lol, I still use the old fashion keyboard with the Purple PS/2 connector on my PC to have more unused USB ports to use for printers, and other devices.

Sure have. I love Ubuntu and 10.10 is just another in a steady line of solid releases that keep getting better. I'm loving the direction the Ubuntu team are going too with a streamlined social/web based experience with the traditional power tools to back it up.

Interesting that Ubuntu is going more social and web based. It sort of reminds me of Google Chrome Linux OS, but with offline programs like OpenOffice, FireFox, and more.

Yep and it still sucks.. Still has buggy software, still looks like crap, still has a shitty dep. handler, still being run by a unprofessinal company.

I upgraded the other day. Pretty decent stuff there, and it's good to see a good version after the LTS, considering Ibex was horrendous.

If you burn it to a disc or USB drive, you can try Ubuntu without affecting your hard drive. If you like it, you can partition your hard drive or just replace the entire thing with Ubuntu.

I tried Ubuntu 10.10 on the LiveCD. It is good at browsing the web and watching YouTube video with Firefox.

I like the theme better then 10.04. The wallpaper seems nicer.

I agree with Agent using a CD or USB drive would be best since Virtual machines take up a lot of space like about 4GB on a drive. Plus they can be kind of slow on a slower computer as well if your computer does not have a lot of RAM or CPU speed.

time to update LOL

Hows the web fonts for people who are using it?

I have always enjoyed Ubuntu, but my biggest problem with it was the lack of quality fonts or font rendering in firefox, it annoyed me enough to move back to windows.

I can read most websites' text fonts fine with Ubuntu.

You can test out Ubuntu 10.10 Firefox in the Live CD mode before you install it on your computer. You can also try adjusting the font in the Appearance section for Ubuntu.
