I'd like to know what you think of my forum. I don't know much html, so I've mostly used the defaults and made what changes I could. I've been more focused on developing good content. If you are a pool owner, I'd especially be interested in your feedback. Link in signiture.

Thanks,
Sean

Wow, that is actually quite good.

As far as Html goes you don't really need any at all for these forums. One area for improvement i would say is to change the skin which is easy on one of these forums as all you have to do is click install and select as default skin. I find the plain white and blue one quite boring. I would suggest maybe a light blue one or something like that. Other then that everything else is good. You have active topics in every forum and it seems to be a busy community. Over all it is a very nice site.

Good luck with it.

Thanks. I have to say, I'm happy with the progress so far. I have couple quick questions about your suggestion. If I change skins, and decide I don't like the new one, or get negative feedback, can I easily switch back? Will changing effect anything else on my site?

Is it possible to have more than one skin and allow users to choose which one they prefer to use?

TIA.

When choosing the skin you can just preview it first and if you like it you can install it. You can easily change back as if you don't delete the skin you have at the moment then if you don't like the new skin you can set it back to default and/or delete the new one(s) you added so you can easily switch back. It wil not effect anything really on your site apart from the icons and the style of like the quotes and how the profile and register buttons are shown.

You can install loads of skins and if you say no to where it says this in general configeration

Override user style
Replaces users style with the default

Then users can change it via there profile like on here you can revert to the default skin that you have.

To install skins:

Styles admin----> Add------>Preview skins until you find the one you want as default skin -----> click install ------> Go to configeration ----> Change the Default skin to the skin you want and select no to the "Override user style" option -----> Then install other skins if you want for the user to pick via their profile but just click install at it will add them to the list.
To revert Back:

General Configeration ------> Select Subsilver------>Then you can delete all of the other skins via style admin --> delete if you don't want other users to choose.
Hope this helps if not i will explain it better for you.

I added more skin options, but I'm sticking with the cobalt 2.0 as the default. I think it works well with my new logo and the theme of the site. Up to 189 now. 😉

Oh! Make that 190!

Looks very nice, well done on the amount of members.

No posts for 4 weeks so it is LOCKED!!!
