I'm not from the US so I'm wondering if there are any people here who have voted for Trump - what made you vote for him and do you regret your decision now? Do you still support his decisions when he sat in the Office?

Thank you (please don't fight Democrats and Republicans)

I think the reason that people voted for Trump is because they saw him as less bad than the other candidate. It's really that simple.

No one could say that Trump was a good candidate, but what other option do people really have?

He's Trump they voted since they might get to pay on his golf 😛

Regardless of how you feel about Trump's policies, the Democrats had key blunders leading to a Trump victory. For one thing, they were pushing an incredibly weird agenda and secondly they dumped the populist Bernie Sanders for Hillary - a person seen as massively elitist.

At this point all Trump voters should feel ashamed of themselves. They’re the reason we’re in this mess.

Yeah it's such a shame to have low black and women unemployment, let me tell you how sexist and racist that is. Also how the tax cut killed off 63 million Americans, who would ever want more of their money. I feel bad for the absolute overkill those who received $1,000 bonuses, such small crumbs.

I hope Obama is enjoying his sperm painted portrait of himself today though. He seems to really like it.

It's a tough debate. I mean, on one hand, more jobs are good, but are those jobs discriminating? Whether people would like to admit it or not, people are avoided for irrational reasons.

The same can be said of Hillary - both were awful candidates. Hillary was a corrupt establishment politician that no one was really excited about, so now we've got Trump as president. Hillary was the lesser of two evils in my opinion.

It's true that unemployment has gone down under Trump, both for black people and woman, as well as the general population. That's great, but you have to look at the context. If you look at the job gains in Trump's first year as president, and compare it with job gains under Obama, you will see that the unemployment rate has been steadily decreasing for several years before Trump took office, and there were actually less job gains in 2017 than any year in Obama's second term. That's according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Also, the black unemployment rate fell by 1% in 2017, but it also fell by 1% in 2016, 1.9% in 2015, 1.5% in 2014, and 1.8% in 2013. I think it's fair to say Obama's policies caused this, not Trump.

You mean the tax cuts where the vast majority of the benefits go to the very rich, and half the population will be paying more in taxes in 10 years from now than they are today, when many of the cuts that actually help lower and middle income workers will expire. But of course, the tax cuts for corporations are permanent.

I hope Obama is enjoying his sperm painted portrait of himself today though. He seems to really like it.

Just another insane conspiracy theory with no proof whatsoever that's being spread on right wing fake news sites.

There's no way of really knowing who will control the government then, hence, who will be taxed.

That's true, we don't know who will be in power then, or what they will do. It's possible that the cuts will be extended, or the entire Trump tax cut could be reversed by then.

But under the current republican plan, if in 10 years the government chooses not to, or is unable to extend the cuts for individuals, many Americans taxes will go up, while corporate tax rates will remain low - I think that says something about the republican's priorities.

I hate to be that guy, but please share a independent source of information. Not a fact check website that is literally owned by large interest corporations that you so claim to hate.

As for the tax reform, yes it lasts for 10 years, but you also know what? Bernie Sanders did in fact praise it on CNN, but more so refused to co-sign a bill along with Ted Cruz to make those tax cuts permanent so that would not happen when Ted Cruz offered to work with Bernie Sanders to correct it, but I guess that won't happen because Bernie socialist ego is more important than co-signing a bill with Ted Cruz to make tax cut permanent, but let's blame Republicans when Democrats refuse to work on anything.

Let's be realistic though, while many Democrats and those of the leftist side even during the State of the Union, refuse to show any sign of support towards low unemployment rates for blacks and women, showed myself and many Americans, Democrats have no interest in serving for the greater good, but an extreme lust of partisanship, which I agree with Julian Assange if the Democrats continue to go path they are today they won't be winning again for the next 50 to 100 years.

Conspiracy theory, funny. If you google the man who did his portrait, the man has a weird obsession of literally putting sperm in some of his art, but more so if you look at Obama portrait up close, plenty of images to google. You see small sperm drawings on it, but call it as you wish, but the fact is it is on the portrait you can't erase that, sorry.

I will leave this link here to make a point of Obama's Portrait, like I said call it as you wish, but I am going to state the fact. Obama now has a literal sperm across his head, enjoy.

Lmao. Obama had sperm on his face. That's funny. Is that the best thing we can argue about now?

Anyway - I voted for Trump. It more had to do with the fact that Clinton and Johnson were awful candidates than Trump was a good candidate. Rand Paul was my original choice, and I still think he would've been far better than the egomaniac that we have in there now.

Moving on: I don't regret it. I would do the same thing again. He's done good things (tax cuts, deregulation, solid judicial appointments) and bad things (continuing unconstitutional spying, stupid arguments with useless people, ramping up the war on drugs). He's not quite as bad as the mainstream media makes him out to be, and he's not quite as much of a "God-send" as some idiots on the right seem to make him out to be. He's not going to kill America, and he's not going to save it.

He's Trump they voted since they might get to pay on his golf 😛

Lmao! I want to play golf there too. Sadly, I'm not from the states either.
He owns allot of golf locations, even one at Scotland. O hear that he tends to spent more time in golf then doing his darn job and yet he;s not very good at golf

I lived in South Korea awhile and so while I defend libertarian and right-wing views, I'm not totally 100 percent with it. I can see the cynicism. The problem is that the population is so racist, prejudiced against the disabled. In that case, how can the disadvantaged get jobs - aside from "baby-ish" charity? But, when the disadvantaged want jobs from the government, it only makes it more tyrannical.

nope, He's crap

Yeah totally crap at golf that I hang out with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson. Guess they need a crappy golfer once in a while to make themselves seem good according to you of course.
