I really really really hate .tk domains as they add ads to the site and can cause log in problems. I would say either stick with your free subdomain of your host or buy a proper domain.

One of the best free hosts you might be able to get is

.Sytes.Net

Its free and takes about 5 minutes to do 😀

.Co.nr is horrible and so is .tk

I've found them to be the best free service for domain redirection, you can even have directory re-direction so it will totally look like a real site.

.tk has gotten better though, but there are still better services. I'd have to say that .co.nr or .co.cc are the best 2 I've seen.

Why get a free domain when you can buy a professional looking one for about $6 ?

To be honest - you won't get many members if you have a free domain.

True but domains aren't always $6 and they don't always have family to turn too, but at least free domains are getting a bit better these days. The sytes.net one is really good as it could emulate a real address (for example you go to example.sytes.net and they want to go to forum 1. In the address bar and in the status bar at the bottom it will say something like http://example.sytes.net/index.php?f=1. Instead of it showing your real address it's masked by the sytes.net domain. And it's all free.

sytes.net i don't mind as i don't have any problems with them like i do with tk or co.nr.

Tip: NEVER use .tk domains, they put advertisements all over your website/forum. Why not use the default? It's just as good, better infact.
