Trying something new...verified

On my outdoor forum, it is my hopes that eventually outdoor companies and "famous outdoorsy folks" will join it.

So I've added a new feature that social media uses... Verified Accounts, the special verified circle with a checkmark given to brands and "celebrities".

I think it might be a way to get more well known folks to join - we will see.

What do you think about the idea?

I like the idea @ShawnHikes I have one of the same add-ons but not used it yet, are you planning on having your accounts held by an admin for approval? or moderating posts.

I like the credibility aspect of it. I know that celebrities like to use the verified status on platforms such as Twitter. I'm not sure if it will boost sign ups however, as your verified users post content their reputation as a contributor will grow.

You can always try & see how it goes. Another idea is to ask members what they recommend. Some may have a budget so finding good deals would be extremely beneficial.
