I'll pick Blogspot since the members seems more "grown up" since most Tumblrs I been to randomly seem to be started by teens, or people targeting teens and young adult readers.

Plus, It seems to be easier for me to modify the template in Blogspot, and add HTML widgets in Blogspot sidebar compared to Tumblr.

Although, Tumblr has some pretty cool themes.

It is also easier to make money to pay for a domain name with Blogspot since Adsense is simple to add in Blogspot, and so are In-line ads like infolink. I heard it was more difficult in Tumblr according to this article:

I choose Tumblr, and I disagree with your judgment on which age group is dominant between the two blog sites.

Without evidence, you can't make a claim that Blogger is "grown up". I would ask for research, data tables, physical evidence that you know their age, and so on, but you probably haven't done so.

I see that Blogger's age group is slightly lower than Tumblr's age group due to the data Alexa has provided. Most Tumblr blogs are accessed from a source outside of the home, ie. work, where as Blogger has it as home. Also, Blogger has a representation from people in school and Tumblr has a representation from college/university.

I'm also an Youtube and Twitter member. I only hear people who are teens/ young adults 18-20 talk about their Tumblr blog from watching their videos and reading their twetts.

Tumblr directory also lists a lot of blogs which seem to be geared toward teens and young people in their directory.

Quantcast is unreliable in this instant. Quantcast requires a Javascript coding to be placed in the HTML, like Google Analytics. People with this knowledge are most likely older people so they would have the knowledge to place the code in the coding. Also, Quantcast is based on trends and results searches, so if I link from an adult website to a Blogger, it's most likely record my age as 18-14 etc.

Alexa requires the toolbar to be installed. That's being promoted much more than Quantcast. You can see on many large websites and older age websites that it's being promoted. There is more chance that someone has downloaded in from the work place and from home then someone going to a website, making an account, grabbing the script and then plugging it into their website. Due the Alexa's simplicity, results would fathom to Alexa being more accurate.

Also, you can't base your own experiences as evidence. You are inclined to click on sites that interest you and it may result in a blogger website or a tumblr website. Just because the groups are technology and entertainment, it doesn't mean they are youth dominated.
