Turn computer off when done?

Do you leave your computer on or do you turn it off when you are done?
I mostly leave mine on & have it in power save mode within 20-30 minutes. I do turn it off a couple times a week though to let updates go through. I tend to be on throughout the day as well & sometimes I would wake up during the night & get on if I can’t get back to sleep. My mind tends to have the best ideas at night, much to my chagrin lol

End of the day My laptop is on more than my desktop and I only put my Desktop on when I'm going to be using it, Wel, once it's on it stays on till around 10 pm or later. Once it's done for the night I power it fully down 🙂 and off it goes to save power and whatnot and having it fully off gives es your hardware a rest and lasts longer in that regard.

Also, it's fast from cold start to when it loads to the desktop, all on SSD drives and takes under 5 secs to boot.... FAST BABY

My desktop at work takes forever to boot up. I've tried doing a disc clean up and clearing out the registry. I've run a malware scan. Nothing is helping.

SOunds like an old PC usimg the OLD HDD style LOL YOur workplace should need to upgrade if that the case

I just put my laptop into sleep mode when not using it.

I always shut down my desktop every night and my work pc gets shut down everyday after I'm off the clock.

As for my personal mac laptop, I always just shut the lid when I'm done using it and manually update whenever one's available

This is me as well. It usually stays in sleep mode when I'm not using it. I hate sitting in front of the computer waiting for it to boot up.

If I plan to return in an hour or two I'll leave it going, but if it will be a good while I'll just shut it down, no need to let it wear down.
