If a forum has an option for members to follow new activity on a forum with RSS feeds would it lead to more activity?
Like how FP has feeds turned-on for phpBB3 feed.php where you can subscribe to FP and know what's going on by using FireFox, IE, or a 3rd party RSS newsreader.
Re: Turning-on RSS feed subscription for Forums increase mem
It might allow for more activity for current members but I'm not sure that a lot of non members will subscribe to the feed without already intending on joining and posting.
Re: Turning-on RSS feed subscription for Forums increase mem
I think it might have the opposite affect of getting more activity from some members to a forum since people can't comment on post in RSS feeds to my knowledge, so if they already read all the new replies and topics posted via RSS feeds they might be less likely to read the topic on a forum, and make a reply on a web browser.
