I have chanced upon some tv revivals on our cable channel. Hawaii Five-O is one although I didn't catch the names of the cast. Another revival is McGyver with the actor looking like the original McGyver. I am hoping that there will be a revival of Combat. That war series that featured Vic Morrow and Rick Jason. It was a hit when I was a girl, my older brothers would die just to watch Combat. I remember it was shown every Friday night at 8 pm. Expect our tv to be tuned in to the channel and our house was full with the neighbors. However, I wonder if Combat is revived, will it gain a good following? I understand that war is very different now.

it would be a good nostalgic for the older generation and new for the newer generation

One series I always wish they'd given a revival/reboot was The Dukes of Hazzard. I always loved watching the re-runs decades after it was made. "Just some good old boys, never meaning no harm...."

There's been a lot of shows getting revived like that. Its been going on for a while, but more so the last few years.

There was the X-Files one from last year which sadly isn't coming back which I was disappointed about!

But one I really love is the new version of Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon Crystal which follows the manga more then the original. Its amazing!

Yet in the UK we need to have an licence to watch

Let me stray a bit out of the topic. When my husband was assigned temporary work in London, he was telling me that the telly (that's the British term for tv) has a registration fee. I forgot if it's monthly or annual but it's a regular fee like a tax. So when you buy a tv, you have to register it with the concerned government agency. During that time, it was 1986, there were only 4 channels, BBC 1 and 2 plus another 2 channels by the government. And the most popular evening show was Benny Hill. Pardon me, I just want to share what I know about the licensing of tv in the UK. Correct me if I'm wrong with my info.
