Tweaking/Personalizing your forum?

Who does this? If you have modified your forum in a creative way to go against trends then please post a screenshot and explain what you have done -happy- Knowing how to successfully tweak your forum is key to not making mistakes and causing catastrophic problems, including: file corrupts, broken code and more. It can, however, provide users with something different and bring excellent results for the Administration team.

It truly is a Brawl forum, for Brawl fans.

I'm also the only one , and i have looked, who changes the "Memebrs" icon, to "Brawlers" (well, was, til someone did this) http://smashfire.b1.jcink.com/index.php ... =16&st=0&# 😀

And even went all out on the intro Boards title. When you unlock a new character in Brawl, a screen in tha game pops up. Challenger Approaching! A New Foe Has Appeared!!!

That's our intro board title, and The screen shot is also a banner in our new members intro board! I made it that the first day i created the forum, I knew that's what i wanted for that section before i even made the forum.

Plus, i personally upload matches with members, who can send me their saved replays, through the wii console. And, i display the most recent match video on the main page, with a link to a topic of that match for discussion. They really get a kick out of that.

I love tweaking stuff. I cannot have standard anything. I have to alter it to make it unique and add things that make it special. 😛

I think tweaking/personalizing a forum can be to your advantage, I'd rather join a forum that is and looks unique, rather than one that doesn't stand out against other forums of its genre.

Mine is just simple and eppealing, however, it's unique because it doesn't look like a lot of other forums.

I have two brilliant personalisations for my forum. First of all, I have a code that disallows anyone to bump a thread that has been dead for three months or more and secondly, when you view someone's specified Gender and Country, they have their own icons next to them so that they stand out 🙂
