Is there a mod or something (that works) that when i post a topic on my forum (on mybb) it will tweet about it on my twitter account?

Click on RSS Syndication(Should be near the header or in the footer of the forum). Then generate the Syndication Link and then go to http://twitterfeed.com and make an account on that and set up the feed. You can change the setting to update every 30 minutes or every few hours.

thanks, i pm'd you on gt because i didnt see you had replied

edit: cant get it to work, i am using the same theme as gt, can you do a step by step please

Are you having problems with setting up the Twitter Feed account and the feed?

There's also a tweet this button, which you can use to tweet individual posts

1. Click on RSS Syndication.

2. Then click on the 'Generate Syndication URL'.

3.Once you have generated the URL, copy the URL.

4. Go to http://twitterfeed.com

5. Make an account on it if you don't have one.

6. Click on 'Create New Feed'

7. Set the feed name(just a name for the feed, name doesn't matter)

8. The URL you copied earlier, paste that into the 'RSS Feed URL' box.

9. Then continue to step 2, if you want to change how often it updated, click on 'Advanced Settings' and it's the first one.

10. On Step 2, Click on Twitter.

11. Then click on 'Authenticate new Twitter Account' and sign into your Twitter account and allow access for the application.

That's about it.

I get the error

Feedurl We couldn't parse this feed, please check URL and/or feed content are valid

when i pasted my link

Is your forum online or have you got it offline?

its offline...

im guessing thats the problem
Yep, have the forum online when you submit the link and after it's done, you can have it offline.

It's because the site can't access it right now as the forum is offline.

The one issue with Twitterfeed is that it posts an unnecessary amount of topics (if you link via topics), and does make your Twitter seems spammy and I wouldn't be surprised if people unfollowed. It's best to just tweet them via a button or manually.

Also, sometimes Twitterfeed doesn't tweet all RSS feed contents, probably due to content overload.

Yes. You do get some random tweets because of the threads made on the forum. Also, you can set how many tweets to do and how often to do them, you can change it to every couple of hours instead of every 30 minutes.

I know, but that's not the point. Great you can set it to every 1 hour, but when that 1 hour comes, the Twitter page is flooded with virtually pointless links, whereas, it could be utilized for useful links from your forum.

I see what you mean, because if an introduction thread is tweet then it's kinda pointless, same goes with forum games threads.

However, you can select the forums you want the threads to be tweeted, when you are generating the RSS Syndication URL.
