Twitter- Real name?

Hello 🙂

Never used it before and considering it but I don't really want to use my real name, well not my last name anyhow. Do you have to use your full real name or does it not matter?

I ended up deleting my account from Facebook because of that. I like some privacy.

No you don't need to use your real name at all, I used to use my forum website name, now it's just a combination of my real name and some numbers 😉

I don't user my real name on Twitter.. I have several online aliases that I choose to go by instead every now and then 😛

Since you are able to alter the name afterwards, anything like your initials (maybe more than one character) would suffice.

No you don't have to use it. I don't. Find a nickname or something you can use like name, like a foreign word. Example If your name is Mrs. Top in French you can use the word Mrs. Sommet for a surname. 😉

I use my real name as that's my identity around the web anyway. I've seen many people switch from a username to their actual name.

horses for courses.. use what ever makes you feel comfortable. I didn't set up Twitter with my name but I use a tag that everyone knows me as. My real name is in the bio part anyway.

If you want to use Facebook for a personal account then I think it's right that they make you use your real name. If you don't want to use it then don't use Facebook. :cheer:
