Two Fox News contributors were yanked off the air Monday after some coarse discourse about President Obama.

Stacey Dash, the actress best known for known for her role in the movie "Clueless," used a profanity in discussing the president's Sunday night Oval Office speech on the terrorism threat in the aftermath of the shooting rampage in San Bernardino.

Dash made the remark during the Fox News panel show "Outnumbered," where she sits in one week a month. She will not appear for the rest of the week.

Wow, I cannot see anyone that is on a news show, ever using any profanity while on air. While I understand one wanting to provide ones' opinions on how someone is handling stuff, I never expect anyone to do that on air, on a news station.

What word(s) did she use? Did the words actually go out on air, or does Fox have a five-second delay in case of that type of thing, or other technical mishaps?

Yellow journalism is the worst I've seen it in the US since the 1920's. Fox News will be viewed by later, and much more intelligent, people of the US as a perfect example of how out of control yellow journalism can get.

What word did she use? If it was just something like damn or hell, this is not that big of a deal, but if it was an f-word or something, that is something different. I don't think using occasional light profanity on most news shows is that big of a deal personally. It's on every other TV station. 😛

From what I can find, they used pu--- and s--- on air. ( http://www.newser.com/story/217198/fox- ... obama.html )
Ah, that clears it up a bit. Took me a second to realize what they meant by "pu--" 😛

Anyway, a temporary suspension makes sense for dropping the s bomb on air, but probably not a suspension for that long TBH. They may be required to do something by the FCC, and I imagine they have their own policy of what you can and can't say on air. It's more about them wanting to be family friendly than about being politically correct. Swearing would hurt ratings for them most likely.

Surprise, surprise. Conservative pundits at their finest.
I don't think it's necessary that. People cuss on accident sometimes. I'm not necessarily sure if this was on accident or not, but sometimes words slip. 😛 I've been talking to people all the time and they've randomly cussed. It happens sometimes. I'm not saying this is acceptable, but I don't think it's some sort of huge deal.
