Ubuntu Problem!

OK I have Ubuntu installed inside Windows Vista and it seems to be working OK but its painfully slow, to slow in fact. Anyone here use this? Have any idea on how I can speed it up? This is a Linux enviroment and I know very little about it.

Wait are using Wubi?

If so that is your problem.

Wubi is good for starters,but when you want the full force Linux a dual boot is needed.

Yes I was using Wubi. How do I dual boot as you say? Using the last version that came out I think 9.0.4 or something.

I warn you it can be a wee bit tough.

If you have the dual boot set up,you should see a increase in speed.

Hoever if you have an ati or intel card 9.04 is pretty buggy with them.(mainly the intel cards though)

Dual booting would the advised. It's really easy though, and Ubuntu sets its it up almost instantly during the installation.
