Let's say that you are heavily involved in your forum's daily activities. But then you have to go into the hospital for a few weeks and can do nothing during that time or recovery period to keep the forum actively running. Who would you trust your forum to?

Your fellow administrators, obviously? In case you are the only one administrator, the best choice is probably to hire the one you trust most to be a temporary administrator. Maybe the head moderator or the best moderator you have on team. It doesn't always have to be one, can be two or three depending on the size of the forum. The thing is, better have someone to take care of it than leaving it on its own.

Indeed. It's the reason you take on staff members, after all. To cover the areas that you cannot.

I have 2 great co-admins that I would and have trusted with the forum when I can't be there. 🙂

I have Community Managers on each of my forums. I only hire a CM when I can trust them completely and its usually after a year or so of being their friend, testing our limits, etc.

If someone happens to me, I trust they can continue the community until I get back.
