No. Because I think that's encouraging them to want the real thing and it's not sending a good message. Kids these days want to grow up too quickly. I've taught and encourage my children that liquor free is the way to be.
I am someone who has done this with my children in the past. I remember one year for New Year the adults always have wine when New Year hits and the kids were usually left with something such as a can of drink or some juice and they would often ask why they couldn't have the same.
My mum one year was able to get a non-alcoholic wine that was Frozen themed and it had the cork and everything so it popped when you opened and the kids loved it.
I always remember when I was a kid I was always allowed a little bit of alcohol at meals and also at things such as Christmas and New Year and I have done the same with my kids, non of them ever go mad wanting alcohol. My eldest is 19 and as much as I have let him have alcohol, he very rarely bothers with it at all.
