Hello loves, I am currently wanting to start developing my own framework, I am stuck with naming it. What are some cool unique names you can come up with?
Give it a codename. So something like Project Spark. It's a codename so it doesn't matter. When it's ready for the lovely world, spend 5 mins coming up with a name. If you can't, use your codename. A name will come to you when it wants too. No need to dwell on a name when the product isn't ready. Focus on the development!
What is special about your framework? If it's going to be competing with Zend, CakePHP, Laravel, etc... I would name it something "sweet" since it will come off "friendly". Is the framework open source? If so, then I would try to give it a "technical" name that sounds like something from Jimmy Neutron. This will come off as a "New Framework that will change the game". A majority of top companies' open source projects are named like this. If it's a personal project, then name it based on your username. Better yet, name it what you will name your character in video games, so maybe LadyLannie? Project LadyLannie?
