Good graphics card made by ATI or Nvidia can cost between 100-200 dollars or more.

If you want to run all the game at max then your better off buying new laptop because you will have to do more than graphic card upgrading.

Alienware = the price of apple with the quality of dell.

Build your own PC, screw 'gaming' laptops. PCs are easier to upgrade anyway.

Your friends are saps. The best and cheapest way to go about getting a gaming computer is building your own. You're spending hundreds, maybe even $1000+ more on Alienware systems than you would building a rig of the same, and possibly even better, specs.
