I upgraded my OS from Windows XP to Windows 7.

I had to do this because there was something going on with one of the drivers that was being installed on XP that wasn't working.

I wasn't finding out a way to get the older driver back or fix it to make the newer driver compatible with XP, so I cleaned out my computer and Upgraded to Windows 7.

I think the suspect driver was the latest driver from ATI.

Since upgrading to Windows 7, I've not had a problem.

It was interesting to because the computer would freeze for a minute before and then turn black and I'd have to reboot (by holding the power button).

Now I have no problems.

Good to hear you have no problems, Win7 is nice. 🙂 Although I use Vista Premium.

I'm really liking windows 7. Since upgrading, I've only had one crash "freeze", compared to a higher number when on XP, so it must of been something from XP, that was doing it.

I really can't wait to get Windows 7, but my current computer most likely wouldn't run it very well. My brother has it on his laptop, and I'm very impressed by it.

Yes. They made it very customizable. Windows 7 is awesome. It made a big improvment over my old desktop. I am not used to windows 7 yet, but I am a bit. The taskbar and other improvments have been well made.
