Upgraded to XenForo 2.2.7

This morning we upgraded to XenForo 2.2.7.

It went quickly too:

Backup of site: 5 to 6 minutes
Install of server updates and reboot: 2 to 3 minutes
Upgrade of XenForo : 2 to 3 minutes

No problems and that makes me happy! 🙂

I managed to find back ups for my profile custom work and my feed system but I had to re-write the code that pushes their profile post to my custom feed system I put measures in place so it doesn’t happen again.

I’m also now using an Ajax request to push it to the feed that way I’m only using the templates and not the core Xenforo code which overwrites itself.

I’ve got a lot of experience 10 years writing in PHP so 3 hours still slightly annoying 🙁

i re-wrote them for the templates so when someone posts on their profile it fire an Ajax request to push the post to the feeds table too.

Xenforo is a great software but upgrading it can be a pain if you choose to edit the core files,
But the good news is all is fixed now
