hi everyone, i ust started a new forum and i want a new template on it. I do not have an uploader like winrar and so on, Is it possible that someone can upload this style - http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/polyethylene to my forum. I dont even know if its possible.. -lol-
Yeh, It's possible and rather easy to do actually. I can do it for free (It really only takes a few minutes), but I'll need the admin details. Make sure you have phpBB installed first, or I can even do that for you if need be (Also not hard).
Just be careful who you trust to do this, as admin access or r00t FTP will be needed (depending on where you want it installed to).

Side note time,
WinRAR is a compression program, no different than the one that comes pre-installed with Microsoft (creates .zip files). WinRAR is just able to compress files more, and thus is a standard file type on today's Web 2.0.
In order to upload you will either need a FTP Client, or you can use one that your host may already provide. I use Filezilla as my FTP, and I love it to death.
Just download it then go to your cpanel and to your phbb3 area then go to the folder stores and upload it there.Then extract it which you will find somwhere
Don't upload it to the "store" folder, that's used by phpBB to hold copies of databases and styles for archive or download. If you're uploading a new style, it should be uploaded to the "styles" folder ~smile~
