Do you use it? I honestly had never meant to use it until I got in this weird Skype conversation with a few guys. What about you? Do you use Urban Dictionary, and if so, for what? Is it actually worth anything more than kicks and giggles?

I discovered the Urban Dictionary about six years ago when I was a mod on the RuneScape forums. Some of the other mods recommended that we all use this dictionary whenever seeing strange expressions we'd never seen before (and there were a lot of bizarre references posted by the trolls of that forum).

Back then, mind mine was pure, clean, and innocent. So much for that.

Whenever I hear new stuff from people like "netflix and chill" I often find myself relying on Urban Dictionary to get my lexicon game straight. No other dictionary contains the answer to some of my questions. I think I got exposed to this site one way or another while in the midst of an attempt fuel my curiosity. I kick myself sometimes since it feels like I'm being corrupted one way or another. LOL.

There are certain lingo that you end up searching and the first result comes from Urban Dictionary. It's impossible to avoid it. To be fair, though... I used to think 'netflix and chill' is literally watching a show together on a couch. That is, until someone set me straight. I kind of wish I hadn't ruined it for myself by confirming the real meaning. This modern day sneakiness can be frightening. :rofl:

I have had to explain Netflix and Chill to so many people and they all tell me my generation has ruined the good things in life. It's kinda entertaining.

I've had a glance at it, and some definitions made me laugh. I try not to visit the site regularly just in case I refer to it for actual real life situations. :lol:
