The new bill's security features include a blue 3-D Security Ribbon on the front of the note that contains images of bells and 100s, which move and change from one to the other as you tilt the note, according to joint release from the agencies.

Another security feature is the "Bell in the Inkwell" image that changes color from copper to green when the note is tilted, an effect that makes it appear and disappear within the inkwell. (For more on the redesigned note and its features, visit www.newmoney.gov.)

Fortunately my several million in reserves will remain legal notes.

I think it is crazy how you can have 100$ bills. $100 in England is £65. The highest note we go up to (which is stupidly rare) is £50. The next highest which is common is £20 but £50 a hard to come by.

It'd be nice if there was a $500 note. There's a €500, it would make sense for people or businesses with large amounts of cash.

This does nothing for me, I look forward to the day when we go to a cashless society.

I think the bill looks just awesome. Benjamin Franklin was a true genius. He had long hair. That is a man that I can support.

I will probably never see one, I am so cheap, and uh, spend a lot when I actually spend money 😛

USA caters to drug dealers. How many dealers want to walk around with a pile of $1 bills?

Many countries go over the $100, or at least in their currency. If you go to a bank and you cash out, you'd want them in £50 not £20, otherwise you'd be there forever.

I'd love to say that this is really interesting but its not. 😛
Money is money.

President William McKinley is on the $500 Bill. The currency is no longer circulated, but at one point, there were these bills floatin' around. Along with the $1000 bill (Grover Cleveland), and the $5000 bill (James Madison). All of these stopped being made in the late 60s. How do I know this? Old school projects 8D

Why bother with this new bill? It seems there is a new 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 every few years..

They're redesigned so often to reduce counterfeiting. There's a few hundred million dollars in fake bills in circulation, which the Secret Service largely investigates.
