By Youth Soccer do you mean programs sponsored by the national teams? Or just local club soccer?

Just watched the highlights of the game, and what a massive win for the states. I'd imagine there was some level of complacency from Spain, but not to take anything away from USA who played some decent football and also have Howard to thank for keeping them in it.

This should give a lot of teams who are due to play Spain a lot of confidence. ~smile~

I was delighted with the USA winning because of Tim Howard, he played brilliant last too.

Tim Howard was amazing. Spain honestly should have won. they just couldnt capitalize because of howard and the US defense. they bent but never broke

I do really hope the USA beat Brazil in the final now. I did want it to be a USA vs South Africa final because two Everton players would have been in the ifinal then.

The US was by far the most surprising team...no one expected them to go as far as they did. i was so excited when they jumped out to a 2-0 lead...🙁

eh US isnt really crappy. 14th in the world (bound to go up after spain and the almost brazil) isnt too bad. esp considering our neighbors to the north are 80's and soccer isnt heavily supported here

USA did shock everyone in this tournament. I was one of the people who was expecting a Spain - Brazil final. I am delighted the USA got to the final and on the day they were unlucky. They went 2-0 up, Tim Howard played superb but in the end Brazil have that exta bit of quality which the USA lack.

yeah. theyre so close to being a quality team. just one or two more parts would help them out soooo much. hopefully everything get sorted out by the world cup
