USB drive

I have read a short article about the USB which got me confused. I'm not sure of what the article was pertaining to but it looks like there is another type of USB which is smaller. Maybe it is the USB that would fit in the cellphone. Pardon my ignorance on this one. Now my question is this - will there be 2 USB drives that will compete with each other? I think that is alarming because computer users are used to that good old USB and if there is a change in style (to the smaller one) then the big USB at present will be discarded if ever the small one will prevail. I am confused.

Mobile portable USB is already available in the market but still we are using PC supportable it doesn't mean that we replace that USB .we have connector to connect USB with PC as well as for Mobile.

You are talking about USB C, which is the future of USB and will replace the "good ol USB" you know right now.
