Use the "What's going on!" forum

One thing I've found to be quite useful when trying to get your forum seen is to make good use of other promotion forum's "What's going on", "Show and tell", "Recent news" type sections.

These places are great for posting all your announcements and big updates as it shows the members your latest announcements / features, but more importantly it shows them that you care about your site and that you want everyone to see the latest news.

SO next time you're out and about promoting your forum, remember to post all your interesting updates. I can almost guarantee they'll get seen..even if people just read them it's still extra exposure...isn't it ~razz~

Ive found it to work to a certain degree as well. As MHW said, any exposure is good, even bad media can be good in some ways. It all depends on how you market that exposure. In this case, make it sound intresting and catchy!
