The + works but whenever you try and give - it counts as a +. I'm sure that I installed all the files and did the correct file edits. But, is there something in the settings I'm doing wrong that is removing the ability to give -rep?

Not necessarily, that's actually why people fail at mods, they think all their edits are correct and that it's a problem with the mod, well no, it's your edits so go through and check them again or else don't ask for support cause we can't give it to you 😛.

Like everyone has said... check your edits that you have done.
You have probably adding some code in that replicates the same function so the button is told to give + when it should be -.
Check the edits over, this is not a settings problem.
