Users banned for using emotes on youtube livestream!

Markiplier users have been banned and their appeals denied for spamming emotes during his livestream. Users are blocked from the google accounts, emails, play store, everything google! Some users have reported they have access to their accounts again but have lost their videos and content.
I absolutely disagree with Google on whoever's call it was to ban the users.

I have seen this type of emote use for a long time, only now seeing repercussions for it.

I am surprised with the users though. Some are using their working channels account to spam on chat section? I mean if they wanted to spam why not use alternative account? 😀
