Using Different Names?

When managing forums and signing up to other members' forums, do you usually stick with the same username? Do you switch it up now and then or rotate through a variety of usernames? Why or why not?

I usually stick with Eclipse but have also used HyperActive on some forums. My gamertag is HyperActive which is what I mainly used online but eventually switched to Eclipse many years ago and continued to use that.

Not very often do I have a different name, unless the username has already been taken, or maybe it depends on the site/forum. Some forums want your real name.. others just any name. I have a username that I stick with, not page though 😛 just FP I use it for.

I used to almost always use the same name...until someone ruined it by tricking me into doing a post exchange and then merging that forum into something I never would have agreed to post on.

So now I use totally different names.

I'll either use "Shawn Gossman," which is my actual name, or "Shawn" if it's not taken. Sometimes, I use "HikerShawn".

I'm usually Krissycakes09. I used to be ArmyWife09 but I'm going through a divorce and hes a Veteran now so I want to move past that.

I usually go by Felly, except in the rare instances where it's taken, in which case, I'll use Fellykins instead. On the off chance both of those are taken, I'll go by the very first username I ever used online: Mistral (or a variation of it, SparklingMistral if just Mistral is taken). I did go back to Mistral for a little while but ultimately ended up going back to Felly since the change never really stuck and everyone still called me Felly anyways, but I still use Mistral (or SparklingMistral) on some communities where I'm less active, just because I never bothered to change it back.

I use the same name while signing up. The only exception is I am hired for paid posting and the owner wants me to use a different name.

I try to but the forums I'm most active on which is probably just this one and Off Topix I switch the username up during Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

I've had so many usernames over the years though.

I typically go with the same username across forums but I have been known to change it from time to time. Sometimes I go by sonikku1011, which is the name of my Youtube channel and gmail but this is usually only on blogs.

I usually use the same username, it’s just a lot easier for me to keep up with. There may have been one or two times I’ve used something else in the past.

I'll register on some forums with the name of my forum or site, whether it's here, Sideline Coverage, Uvopia, etc. Other than that, I pretty much stick to Cam or Cameron.
