Hey,

Has anyone used Google Adsense to advertise your site site? Is it effective?

I personally haven't.

Well, Adsense and Adwords are two separate parts of Google's Network of sites. I have used Adwords a few times, and while it did bring more traffic, it didn't do too much for me, due to the fact that I wasn't willing to expend the money for an extended advertising campaign for long term results. The conversion rates were pretty good though, atleast in regards to what I wanted to do.

Never used google for any type of advertising. You'd think it would be pretty pricey? Joshua, are the prices ridiculous or was it with your money and time?

As a Publisher, I can see that it is very pricey but of course you can pay little for the ads but most likely your ad will be blocked. People do this to increase their CPC so if you want some good results, it will cost a lot of money.

I use adsense. I only get a little bit of money but not much.

Use adsense once u gain traction u will get a lot of money.

I used it a long time ago, but it just wasn't good enough.

Adsense is good but i have never tried advertising with google if it is pricey then im sure it will be worth it depending on the site you have etc.

I work in ad tech. I don't use adwords, but I do use Google inventory for advertising.

Very interesting. I'll take a look at that to see if it is better than Adsense 🙂

I used adsense and when I was about to cash out they suspended my account. I have no idea what happened becasue I didn't do anything shady.

We then switch to BuySellAds and made more money than adsense.

I also implemented infolinks which brought in $50 every two months, but I made them appear for guests not members.

I also have a captcha service that brings in revenue, but to cash out you need about $200.
