Using # in passwords

Do you thing using # in password is a good idea??
i was thinking about this lately and thinking why dont people allow this. i think its extra security instead of using
example: password12 and change it to something like #password12 or password#12
what are your thoughts?

I do this sometimes. I tend to use a symbol, number, uppercase and lowecase letter.

All my passwords have at least one symbol, number and letter. Of course having # or other symbols is a good idea.

If your password is simply a word with a few numbers attached to it, you are in the wrong century.

I'm a big time safety geek with password. All of my passwords are at least six characters long, and have a mix of numbers and letters, and mixed caps with the letters. I don't bother with symbols, though.

I don't use symbols myself, but I supposed any ones that are allowed are good to use. Personally, I use a random string of letters and numbers.

Using special characters in your password always make it safer from unauthorized entries. I always use letter, numbers and a special character for all my password. They make me feel safe with my online accounts.

Unless the person attempting to gain access to your account knows you, they won't be able to guess and crack your account. Unless of course, your password is 'password123'. Generally, people use passwords that are easy to remember, which in turn ends up being something personal (child's name, birthdate, etc).

Most of my passwords are long and complicated; therefore I save them in a word document that is password protected with a medium password then in a password protected folder. 😛

I don't really do symbols, only if it makes sense in my head and usually I can't make sense of them. Having them like password#14 or something could make sense I suppose since maybe that number is your favorite or something.

I tend to use a mix of capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers and also something that means something to me.

It is good. My passwords usually have few numbers and symbols that make it strong enough!

Using a symbol is a good choice but why do you ask? And who does not allow it?

My passwords would take Infinite years to crack with a desktop pc according to a password strength test.
