Using Real Name on Forums

Out of curiosity, why did you name your forum after you?
Because I named my site, Jude's Place, so it made sense for the forum to be Jude's Forum. My site features my writing, and the forum is an extension of that.

That does make a lot of sense! I just don't typically see that, but that explains it. 🙂

I’ve always tried to make a personal brands. So for that, I’ve always used my real name on forums, social, blogs, and websites.

For some reasons, I find it comfortable using my real name on some forums and a pseudo name on others. I think it just boils down to disposition at the time of registering.

I use my real name on the forums that I am on. I think it helps people that know me from other forums to be able to relate with me.

I've mostly always used my first name and I've never encountered any issues doing so. I like that people can call me by my real name instead of something I randomly made up.

Using your real name on forums can have both advantages and disadvantages.
