Would you think if more people find out about alternative ways of making money online without a website like selling Apps and content on Apple Apps Store/iTunes, Android Marketplace, Windows Marketplace, Amazon, eJunkie, Clickbank, or selling real stuff on eBay, and Craigslist the value of websites might go down a little bit?

I think there will still be many people who consider websites valuable, but there also be more people who think websites are not as valuable for making money online when they can just sell Apps and digital products on Apps stores, or sell real stuff on 3rd-party sites like eBay, Amazon, or Craigslist without really worrying about getting traffic, SEO, social media marketing and hosting costs.

But, a website would still be useful for promoting your stuff which you sell on Apps stores, and 3rd party sites which let you sell stuff.

There are always people buying and selling websites, it may not be as numerous as items being sold online and then shipped to the buyer, but website sales in general will still get more than enough people willing to both buy and sell them.

It's all in how you markets a website that is retail based. If you are trying to sell things online via your own website you will need to be promote that site on Pay for Service boards. Promo sites like this one could help but not likely.

Retail sites are very profitable if you can get your site known.

Example:

Magazine Ads
Web Ads
Radio Ads
Store Flyers
