What do people think of the home page and the background specifically? If the background doesn't suit could you perhaps attach a couple of examples of backgrounds that would work?

Not sure on examples to show you but i would say try going with something that would be easier on the eyes.

I'm not a fan of that background, but the general layout (navbar/text/info) seems decent. Perhaps you can use some paintbrushes/splats as a background (seeming as design is one of the areas you focus on). Here's one I found, but it may be a bit too colorful.

I think if you're going to stick with the background you're going to need a drop shadow on the logo. It's hard to see.

I've had a couple of potential clients be turned off from the background. I could add a dark gradient.

I agree with the others about the background. I think changing it will be a good idea. I prefer something more simple and easy on the eyes.

How about now? I've added a gradient.

It goes from light to dark left to right.

But I can also make it so it is light at the top and goes dark as you scroll.

The background isn't nice for the eyes, a change would be good. I don't know any examples.

I like the homepage and the welcome. Also the logo looks very profesional!
