Vb 4 or IPB?

I have always been an IPB fan myself 🙂 I think it runs better, it looks better and to me, the development of it is better.

I was always a lover of IPB but my forum uses vB4 need i say more, good luck whatever choice you make.

I'd recommend IPB to be honest. Has more features, better official add ons and generally a brighter future given that IPS aren't trying to rip people off like Internet Brands are.

I like the look of IPB, it's fresh and clean and not quite as mainstream, however, I've been using vBulletin for over 5 years now and haven't had any problems. It's professional looking, has great add ons and custom skins and does the job. Either one is good though 🙂

Definitely IPB. Vbulletin has gotten so much bad rep over the last couple years it isn't even funny. I wouldn't even think of purchasing a VB license right now they've gone so downhill.

Also, I'd go with free forum software, but if you can afford IPB, then it's a great software.
