If your going to be serious about your community then yes.
But since your running a gaming forum, I wouldn't buy it.

Gaming forums get a lot of hits lately, just advertise by hand 😉

Yeah true but still it offers a lot for SEO. And people use the search engine for gaming things ALL Of the time. + it has better friendly urls.

Actually most likely not going to get this. Thinking it's not worth the investment.

Thanks ashimashi. I totally agree, but it's been a month or two and nearing 1,000 posts, so changing all the links would really mess it up..it's like starting all over. I'm thinking I'll stick with how it is now and not get vBSEO.

I currently do not have quite 150 in my account so no chance of buying anyways.

not worth. I'd rather spend it to let some users populate some posts to the forum to somehow make it look like its busy.
